Wayne is a national award winning filmmaker who’s written, produced and directed a number of short drama films over the years, and who recently completed his feature length film, ‘Blind Spot’. He’s also produced and directed documentaries, corporate videos, multimedia programs and co-written an animated television series. In 2008 he wrote, produced and directed ‘Slaughter’, short drama (DVD 30 mins), then ‘Widow Maker’ (DVD 6mins) 2009. ‘Through Our Eyes’, documentary (DVD 40 mins) and ‘Runner’, a musical drama (DVD 5 mins).
Wayne is a pioneer in the Queensland Film Industry having been a founding member of the Brisbane Independent Filmmakers (now QPIX).
In 1981, ‘Meatheads’, his ‘classic’ short feature (16mm Col 40 mins), won First Prize, Fiction Category at the 1981 Sydney Film Festival.
Wayne also has many credits as 1st assistant director on features, series, documentaries, short drama and tvc’s (2013-1982).
Wayne has also developed a number of feature screenplays with independent producers and financial assistance from state and federal government screen agencies, including ‘Last Post’: Script development assistance Screen NSW and Screen Australia. This project’s at 4th draft stage and Wayne’s currently seeking the right producer for this medium to high budget feature film.
